Overview

In the less explored parts of Nepal- the Langtang Valley’s peaks- lies the Yala Peak. It is a moderate climb and good for beginners. We will show you the ropes and take you to an amazing place- with clear views of some spectacular mountains of the Himalayas and get you back safely. The summit day, the highlight of the journey will give you a chance to see things few people have seen, including a 8000 meter peak. Go for it. It’s a great adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival

We will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Our guide will tell you a few things about Nepal on the way. If there is time to spare, we’ll take you to visit one of Kathmandu’s many attractions.

Day 2

Kathmandu

We’ll take you out and about Kathmandu according to what you want to see. Our guide can help you pick out what will be the most interesting places for you to visit. Your equipment and gear will also be examined to see if everything is in order.

Day 3

Drive to Syabrubesi

It’s a whole day’s drive to Syabrubesi. Our guide will tell you more about the journey ahead and help you prepare mentally for the climb.

Day 4

Trek to Lama Hotel

We start trekking today. The views are nice and the trek is mostly uphill. Our guide and his helpers will keep you entertained the whole way.

Day 5

Trek to Langtang Village

Langtang village is a quaint little place that is charming in its own way, even after the earthquake that devastated the area. Walk around the village in the afternoon. You might make some lasting memories.

Day 6

Trek to Kyanjin Gompa

There’s a monastery in Kyanjin Gompa that is not always open, and there are only a few Lamas visiting the place. But the village is named after it. This is where we will spend two nights. So make yourself at home.

Day 7

Kyanjin Gompa

Enjoy your acclimatization day because tomorrow’s a pretty tough climb to the base camp. Enjoy the surreal sights the place has to offer and have fun.

Day 8

Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp

Today we close in towards the summit. We’ll trek to Yala’s base camp and spend the night there.

Day 9

Summit

Today’s the highlight of the journey. We’ll start early in the morning and reach the summit using crampons and ropes. The views of the surrounding mountains are out of this world. You can also see a eight thousand meter peak called Shisha Pangma on the Northern Tibetan side. We’ll head back down and spend the night at Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 10

Trek to Lama Hotel

We’ll start trekking back towards ‘civilization’ today. We’ll walk to Lama hotel where we’ll spend the night.

Day 11

Trek to Syabrubesi

Today we’ll walk back to Syabrubesi. It’s a long trek but it’s mostly downhill.

Day 12

Drive Back to Kathmandu

Rest in the vehicle as we bring you back to Kathmandu. Celebrate in the evening in Thamel or a bar your guide recommends. Rum Doodle is a nice place for mountaineers.

Day 13

Day in Kathmandu

Spend the day as you see fit. In the evening, we’ll take you to a restaurant where there are cultural dances of many tribes. Enjoy your last night in Nepal.

Day 14

Departure

Today we bid you farewell at the airport, hoping to see you again to do something else in Nepal and things to do in Nepal are a-plenty.
