Overview

Pokhara is a gem of a city. Considered by most to be the nicest city in Nepal, it is a clean and green city which is basically a lake town  for tourists. It is the second largest city in Kathmandu but it is much smaller and there are many fun things to do here. Enjoy the best Pokhara has to offer and have a great time in the most popular tourism destination in Nepal.

Itinerary

Day 1

Kathmandu to Pokhara

Today we fly to Pokhara, a beautiful lake town with lots to do. If your flight is a bit late, we can arrange for you to go see a nice place in Kathmandu. In the evening, we’ll go boating on the Fewa lake. In the right weather conditions, you can see parts of the Annapurna mountain range from the boat.

The main street next to the lake in Pokhara is called “Lakeside” and it is full of shops, bars, and restaurants. You’ll definitely find something worthwhile in Lakeside. Plus, it’s a great place for a walk. You might get to see some unexpected sights along the way.

Day 2

Paragliding and Exploration

Paragliding in Pokhara has proven to be very safe and you can go very slow or very fast as you wish. If you want your tandem instructor to do some aerobatics for you, say so. If you want to have a slow and steady flight above the gorgeous little town, just tell them that. It will take about 3 hours to drive to the hilltop, paraglide down, and drive back to your hotel.

You can choose from many options for the afternoon. After lunch, we can go explore one of the several caves in the area- one of them being a bat-cave. Or you may choose to go bungee diving or zip-lining. You can save these activities for your next day, of course, and just relax by the lake like many do.

Day 3

Whatever You Want

Pokhara has a rich hippie culture and parts of it are still frequented by the wanderers. We can take you to the places they like the most. There are also many posh places to choose from. Tell us what you want to do and we’ll arrange it for you. You can go cave-exploring,  bungee-diving, bar-hopping, or indulge in a nice massage or spa.  There is also a big unspoilt lake on the outskirts of Pokhara you may be interested in visiting or a mountain climbing museum within Pokhara. Relaxing by the lake with a book is also a very pleasant thing to do here.

Day 4

Fly back to Kathmandu

Unless you want to add more days in Pokhara to your trip, like many people do, we’ll fly back to Kathmandu.  You can add a 4 day trekking trip to your itinerary to Poon Hill, the famous hill where you can see the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains up close from. If you decide to fly back to Kathmandu, we can go see some of the more famous places in Kathmandu. We can also advise you on where to go if you want to see places without many tourists and take you there.
