Nepal for adrenalin junkies

Gather thrills and chills around Nepal.

There are many things to do in Nepal if you’re a thrill-seeker. Here are some of them-

Mountain climbing

Nothing beats looking down from the top of a mountain, the higher the better. Mountain climbing usually involves a trek to the mountain, with supplies either carried by porters or donkeys. You get a tent, a dining tent, a toilet, and an optional hang-out room. It’s much cheaper if you climb mountains with other people as a team.

Rafting

There are several places you can go rafting in Nepal. One of the best is Bhotekoshi. It’s white-water rafting at its best. Plus it’s dangerous, which adds to the thrill. Dodge big rocks, go through some amazing rapids, and paddle like hell. It’s a great way to spend anywhere from a day to a week.

Bungee Diving

One of the highest bungee jumping sites in the worls is about a 4 and a half hours drive away from Kathmandu. There is also a bungee place in Pokhara, a beautiful city. You can also opt for a swing instead or do both. Your call. It’s a whole day event.

Zipline

There’s a zipline in Pokhara. Zoom through spectacular terrain at high speeds while strapped to a wire. The location is beautiful and ziplining will take your breath away. It’s definitely worth a go.

Paragliding

Pokhara also has paragliding. You take a jeep upto the top of a mountain and jump off into a beautiful lake-town. You can see an amazing vista of mountains, a spectacular lake, and the entire city of Pokhara. Aerobatics during paragliding is amazing. Just ask your pilot you want to go fast and follow his instructions. It’s better than the fastest roller coasters.

Rock Climbing

There are plenty of places to pick from if you are a rock climbing enthusiast. From the caves of the forbidden Upper Mustang to the hills surrounding Kathmandu, you can indulge yourself in rock climbing at some beautiful locations.

Power Trekking

If you want to push yourself in the Himalayas, you can do it in many places all around the country. The Great Himalayan Trail is a great trek, but it’s very lengthy. You can definitely do parts of it though. There are other treks like the Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit trek along with other more remote treks. Power through jungles, cliff faces, and all kinds of terrain imaginable. Great fun. Check out this package. You might like it.
